About EMG Pickups
Based in Santa Rosa, California EMG manufactures some of the world's most popular guitar pickups and EQ accessories. The company was founded in 1976 by Rob Turner in Long Beach, California. Their active pickups are most popular among hard rock and metal artists such as Metallica, Slayer, Zakk Wylde, Judas Priest and Children of Bodom, but also used by others such as Prince, Vince Gill, Steve Lukather and David Gilmour.

EMG Solderless system
The EMG solderless install kit is designed to make pickup installation a breeze. The kit comes with everything you need to install pickups without the need for soldering.
Each pickup will come with everything you need to install on to your guitar with complete ease, including pots, cables and output sockets. The T-System or J-System also come with loaded control plates.
For the ultimate in pain free install, check out the pickguard systems, such as the David Gilmour DG20, which include everything you need loaded on to its pickguard. -
EMG Retro Actives
EMG’s Retro Active series is a line of pickups that offer a vintage sound with modern features. The series includes humbuckers, single coils, and P90 pickups. Humbuckers are available in three flavors: the Fat 55, the Super 77, and the Hot 70. The Fat 55 has an open coil design with Alnico V magnets, while the Super 77 has ceramic magnets and an open coil design. The Hot 70 has ceramic magnets in the bridge and Alnico 5 magnets in the neck. Single coils are available in two flavors: the Maverick Five and the SA. The Maverick Five has custom wound coils and Alnico 5 magnets, while the SA has Alnico V magnets. The Retro Active P90 pickups are available in two flavors: the T-52 and the T-52 System. The T-52 has a classic twang and tele edge.
Introducing the EMG JMASTER
The EMG JMaster™ Pickup is inspired by the look, feel, and sound of classic, time-tested pickup design.As part of the Retro Active Lineup, the pickups feature Alnico 5 rods and wide stacked coils for a rich and balanced single coil tone. Like all EMG Active Pickups, the JMaster™ pickups are free of hum and incredibly easy to install. The pickguard system features a powerful set of master EQ controls on the upper horn of the instrument. The beloved SPC Control packs a punch with its mighty mid-boost at the turn of a dial. Or flip the switch to turn it into a clean boost across the full frequency spectrum- giving you up to 12dB on tap. The EXG Control simultaneously boosts the low and high frequencies giving your instrument a liquid tone with full bottom end and enhanced highs.
